  • What was the root cause of the Incident?
Added 11/03/2021 10:48 by Joe Bloggs (Head of Fleet)

Reading through the report, I'm happy to declare the root cuase as Weather Conditions. That being said if you are unhappy with the conditions and feel it is unsafe for the vessel then don't sail.

  • Was the Incident handled correctly?

The crew took preventative steps as soon as possible, holding off the Quayside after the impact to inspect damange. On the second attempt they also added additional fenders to the area. Overall good work from the team. I can see the Crew have also raised a defect to get the damage repaired.

Hi Joe, We will get this repaired on her next maintenance day, it's not structural. It can get quite rough when the wind blows straight in the harbour, I'm going to get some fenders to add to the Quayside for when its windy.
